Femininity

It's OK to be feminine… I am sick of the ultra-feminists who want to remove everything sparkly or feminine from toy shelves because it is “harmful” for little girls. As a girl I loved outfits, sparkles, flowers, bows, singing, dancing, dolls, dress-up and fairy tales. I remember constantly being ridiculed for it by the “sporty” girls, P.E. teachers, and occasionally my own friends and family. Empowering little girls is not just about letting them play sports or do science experiments. It is about letting them be who they are and do what they like no matter what…barring anything illegal or immoral of course.
